I love spending cold Christmas days wrapped up on the sofa in my double duvet cover watching holiday films. Nothing beats sitting down to a chick-flick marathon with a warm mince pie and glass if mulled wine. These kinds of days are just so relaxing. They are especially well-deserved if you have spent the morning having snow ball fights or building underground palaces out of snow. You will want to snuggle up near the fire just to warm yourself up. I have three favourite activities for a winter’s day which I will describe here.

Movie Day
You have probably guessed by now that one of my favourite winter activities is to sit on the sofa wrapped in my double duvet cover with some snacks and my holiday movies. Some of my favourite flicks include The Grinch, Bridget Jones and Love Actually. If I can get away with doing this for the whole day so that I do not even need to get out of my pyjamas, even better. But I can assure you that you won’t want to get off the settee once you have plonked yourself down so get everything you need around you at the start of the movie marathon. You can leave if you really need the toilet though!

Cooking And Baking
If I’m feeling active then I love to bake. When it is cold outside and you are making warm goodies, there is a small delight in the windows steaming up and closing you off from the outside world. Cooing Christmas cookies and decorating them is one of my favourite recipes. Other festive recipes include pies, cakes and soups. You can relieve stress with cooing which is a relief during the busy season and then you get to eat your treats!

Playing In The Snow
No Christmas is complete without making snow angels, building snow people and throwing the white stuff at each other. We are all big kids inside and enjoy a good play out every now and then. Enjoying the winter weather is something that everyone can do whether they are children or adults.
