Christmas is all about relaxing days on the sofa wrapped in a double duvet cover with holiday films on and goodies. Nothing beats sitting down to a chick-flick marathon with a warm mince pie and glass if mulled wine. These kinds of days are just so relaxing. They are especially well-deserved if you have spent the morning having snow ball fights or building underground palaces out of snow. Warming yourself up can be an excuse but it will be so much fun. My three top tips for relaxing on a winter’s day will be described in this article, but all are equally enjoyable.

Movie Day
So you have probably guessed from my introduction that my favourite activity on a cold winter’s day is to wrap up on my sofa, films at the ready with snack food in my double duvet cover. the titles that always make me feel festive include the Grinch, Love Actually and anything with Hugh Grant in. These days are best if they are totally interrupted, only getting up to go to the toiler at fill up on more snacks. Before you begin your first film of the day, make sure you have everything you need in touching distance because you will not want to move! You can leave if you really need the toilet though!

Cooking And Baking
I love getting into the kitchen for a good bake if I have a bit of energy. When it is cold outside and you are making warm goodies, there is a small delight in the windows steaming up and closing you off from the outside world. Cooing Christmas cookies and decorating them is one of my favourite recipes. Other festive recipes include pies, cakes and soups. You can relieve stress with cooing which is a relief during the busy season and then you get to eat your treats!

Playing In The Snow
Something a little less relaxing but just as fun is having the traditional snow fight, making snow people and skidding around in the white powder. We are all big kids inside and enjoy a good play out every now and then. Even if you do not have children you do not have to miss out on the fun of a snow day.
