Individuals say that you want to be on Facebook or other social networking sites otherwise you don't exist. I am now driven to trust them. Social network sites give you an awarenes into what your acquaintances and fellow workers are doing. If you don't use these sites then it's very awkward to keep in touch.

Going on these kind of websites isn't just about touching base and following your chums and acquaintances lives. Let's face it, real estate agents (and not only them, of course) also use such sites because they want to somehow help themselves, they want to attract more individuals to use their services. The times when a billboard or a tiny advertisement in a newspaper was enough for propagation of one's work or business are long gone and they will won't come back. Internet is THE strong device now. If you have an internet connection, it is not hard to discover help and guidance on making full use of social networking.

For older individuals who were not brought up with computers, it's difficult to get used to making the most out of computers and to find their way round websites. Our kids seem to know it somehow instinctively, but for us, it might take a while to suss out how everything works. Though, we have a go I don't accept it's just me that feels like that and lots of my fellow realtors are finding it just as time consuming.

After working all day its not surprising we come home tired, so it's nearly impossible to sum up the energy to find interesting things to talk about on blogs or make posts on social websites such as facebook and twitter. Our daily lives now encompasses just that sort of input. Settling down now means going on-line to get our social networking job finished. Is it in vain, or are the public interested or care about what we write about? Do individuals, other than fellow realtors, actually look at the articles we write? Regrettably that is not a question any of us have the solution to?

One way of keeping up with what fellow realtors are working on for me, is to read their websites and read their articles. For someone who is not involved in the real estate market, I really couldn't say whether these features would be of any interest. So now I don't have to see or talk to my co-workers often to know what is going on with their lives, I can read about it in their articles and posts. I know now more about colleagues that I haven't spoken to for ages due to the internet and the social network web pages. That sure is wonderful!

As a realtor I sell Condos Toronto, and I consider social networking to be one of the key ways of getting new leads. Therefore I hope this brief article was of any help for you!
