People say that you have to be on Facebook or other social networking webpages otherwise you don't exist. I am now beginning to agree with them. If you want to actually know something about the life of your friends or work mates, you just need social networking sites. If you don't use these types of site then it's very awkward to keep in touch.

However, staying informed about the life of your buddys and acquaintances surely is not the only intention of such websites. Another convenience of social websites is promoting yourself and bringing in business especially if you are a real estate agent. Newspaper advertising, Leaflets and Billboards are 'old hat' and businesses need to go forward with the flow. The way to the future is now the internet and computers. On-line, (what a coincidence) you can discover a plethora of articles with instructions and working tips on how to use the phenomenon of social networking.

For older generations who were not brought up with computers, it's tough to get used to using computers and to find their way round websites. Children work with computers from a young age, so are fluent with them, whilst we, from the older generation, are taking a while to work things out. We stick with it and try our hardest to study it all. I bet many of my fellow realtors have the same feelings.

After working all day its not surprising we come home shattered, so it's hard to sum up the energy to find interesting things to discuss on blogs or make posts on social websites such as facebook and twitter. Our daily habits now encompasses just that sort of communication. Writing on our blogs and social network sites is now entertainment. Is it in vain, or are the population interested or care about what we post about? For all the time we put into our features and posts, are only fellow realtors reading it? Is there an answer to that question, I don't believe so.

One way of keeping up with what fellow realtors are up to for me, is to check out their websites and read their articles. Are these articles of any interest to individuals not involved in the housing market, that I can't answer. By reading colleagues blogs and articles, it doesn't matter how often I see them, I am always up to date with their lives. I may genuinely state that thanks to social networking, I have gotten to know colleagues I haven't talked to for ages again. That sure is fantastic!

Professionally I sell Condominiums in Toronto, and I consider social networking to be one of the key ways of attracting clients. I hope this short article did help you
