Ideal Investment Properties In Playa Blanca
The Canary islands have always been seen as a nice and safe holiday destination even considering the sometimes disturbing strikes of Spanish airport workers, but in all fairness this is also a problem in other tourist destinations too.
Recent unrest however in some Northern African countries has given the Canaries and in particular Lanzarote the nice bonus of increased tourist numbers as many holiday makers opt for a safe holiday destination and don't want to risk their hard earned holiday savings.
The Canary Islands have long been known as a reliable winter sun destination in Europe and their popularity this winter and spring has proved this. Of the seven islands, Lanzarote is particularly popular and has the tourist infrastructure to cope with increased demand. This has been good news for any holiday rental property owners on the island, as the increased demand has seen bookings soar. This has also had a knock-on effect on the property for sale in Lanzarote market, which has also received a much needed stimulus.
Over the last few months, the higher volume of tourists has seen more first time visitors exploring Lanzarote and being seduced by its charms. With greater numbers considering Playa Blanca property, where a wide range of holiday accommodation can be purchased.
As the newest resort on the island, Playa Blanca has seen rapid growth over the last ten years. Before this, it was a very peaceful little fishing village whose sole distinction was the beautiful range of beaches close by.
This is no longer the case though, as the resort has grown in popularity with holidaymakers, partly thanks to its wonderful coastal walkway that runs from the west to the east of the town. And the numerous good quality four and five star hotels that can be found here, with great guest facilities such as spas.
Along the seafront, there are three main beaches, two of which have been adapted to give safe bathing conditions for children. Whilst the eastern edge of the town now almost reaches the beaches at Papagayo, often awarded plaudits as some of the best beaches in the whole of the Canaries.
In the centre of the town there is a nucleus of pedestrian streets with numerous shops and restaurants within easy reach. Further to the east of the town, there is the relatively new marina which also attracts shoppers to its boutique clothing outlets. And whilst Playa Blanca is at the southernmost tip of the island it is also the resort that is closest to the tourist attraction at the Timanfaya National Park. This is where the island’s greatest concentration of volcanoes can be found and makes a fascinating day out for adults and children alike.
