They way you present and maintain your office gives off a lot of information to rivals and visitors. Your company will look better if the office is tidy, stylish and sophistication. The Welcome
When guests arrive at your offices, they will immediately make judgements based on what they see and how they feel. This is why it’s important that you have a welcoming reception area. Waiting areas should be easy to find and comfortable.Either chairs or sofas are okay, but be sure to find the balance between comfortable and professional.You don’t want your reception area to look like someone’s lounge.

The Décor
Keep it simple. Whole areas or rooms shouldn’t be painted in one overbearing colour. Equally, though, too plain is not good. You can use corporate colours or well chosen bright colours, but perhaps only on feature walls or in artwork.

The Props
Plants add colour to an office and keep the air fresher. Staff are likely to be happier with a few plants.{ Having several plants around the office is a good idea, especially in darker corners. Just don’t let them die.Also, don’t be afraid to show off a little. You could display company products in a cabinet in reception. This personal touch shows visitors what your company is about. You could also consider placing water coolers, neatly organised shelving and industry targeted magazines in reception.

Tidiness
There is often a lot of clutter in kitchen areas and on staff desks. Don’t be afraid to ask staff to clean up their own mess.After all they are adults.On the other hand, don’t go to the other extreme of banning personal items from staff desks. Your personnel will spend most of their week sitting at their desk, so should be entitled to make it their own. Anyway, most visitors will actually appreciate being reminded that your staff are people and not robots.

The Maintenance
You should invest in the right protection for your office.Otherwise you will periodically be forced to reinvest money on repairing cracks and chips to paintwork. Protecting your hard work is just good sense, as not to would defeat the object of restyling your office in the first place. You can buy a range of protective trims for doors and walls and they’re well worth the money.People don’t necessarily realise it, but frequent deliveries, tea trolleys and just high volume of people passing through put walls and doors at risk of chips, scratches and other damage.Simple wall and door protection will eliminate this risk.
